2005 BAY  MARE MMB Oldenburg

Houston xx/Wild Surf xx/Captain James xx

Producer of a Premium Foal and two Foals of Distinction

Granddaughter of the legendary Seattle Slew, Ali is an attractive, good moving, large boned dark bay mare by Houston, a stallion that is currently making a name for himself as a leading producer of top thoroughbred sport horses, out of Kamali, a Wild Surf (Mill Reef) mare.

Ali’s brother, Slewth, was 7th in Zone 10 in the Pregreen Hunters in 2011  and earned ribbons in the 1st Yr Green Conformation Hunters and Amateur Owner hunters on the A circuit.

Other offspring by sire Houston include the Oldenburg N/A and RPSI approved TB stallion Noble Houston.  This lovely stallion was given scores of 8 on his neck, shoulder and saddle position. Judges commented on his exceptional temperament and suitability for improving temperament, adding refinement and improving front end movement.

Her damside pedigree includes top TB sport horse producers Nasrullah, Princequillo, and Turn-To in the first three and four generations.  Eventers have long valued the blood of Mill Reef (maternal grandsire) for infusion of conformation, athleticism, and refinement.  As determined by the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses in 1995, nine of the top ten event sires in the world descended from Nasrullah, while Princequillo and Turn-To were also present in one of five top event horses. Not limited to eventing, the lines of Nasrullah, Princequillo, and Turn-To can be found in the internationally jumping TB Grand Prix horses Bradford, Final Pool, and Meridith Michael’s famous mare Vogue.

Ali was approved MMB Oldenburg in July 2012, and her 2012 colt, At Last, was awarded Premium status. Her 2014 filly, Violet HIll TW (v. Valentino) and her 2015 filly, VaZoom, were both awarded the GOV Foal of Distinction.
